This is a dream that I had...uh...awhile ago? Anyway, I made it into a story and thought that it would make an interesting post. So here it is. Of course, I did have to elaborate a little bit, but it was a detailed dream.
“Remember, unlock the door second.”
There is a dark green door with a wade window of frosted glass, it’s brass doorknob needing a key to open. Beside the door on the dark wall is another brass lock. I’ve been in through that door before.
Inside is a room where white tiles cover the floor and ceiling; there are no lights in this room. It is moonlit, but without a moon. Cream-colored file cabinets line the walls from floor to ceiling, but they are unlabeled. Blank.
My pale had stands out against my black sleeve as I gently put an old key into the doorknob. I feel like a thief sneaking in but I am unsure why. I take another key, newer type this time, and put it into the lock on the wall. Taking a deep breath, I turn both keys at the same time. Something clicks.
I gently push the door open just enough to see inside. “Remember, open the door second.” Oh crap. Alarms go off in my head at the same time they do in the building. There are no flashing lights as one might expect, just the piercing sound. Get out. I turn and run.
I’m on a beach and I can see the water ahead. I feel that I’ll be safe if I can just get to the water. Adrenalin rushes through my veins as I sense someone running behind me. It’s much like the feeling you get when your playing a game of tag and you know your about to get tagged. I near the water and leap as far as I can, stretching out my lean form and diving head-first into the frothy waves. My pursuer finds difficulty in swimming but I speed ahead, swimming out toward the open ocean.
After a few minutes of over-arm stokes my limbs begin to feel heavy. I’m thrown into a violent fit of coughing as I swallow a mouthful of salty water. Keep going. I try to gain my momentum back but the water is pulling me down. It tempts me with thoughts of eternal escape as my head goes under. No. I kick hard but there is no energy left. I close my eyes as I sink farther and farther, life leaving my body. My lungs eyes and lungs burning, I try again to break the surface. I sink back down, this time, to die.

Wowza! So dramatic! Nicely written. ;) I know this is a dream, but still, all your stories have sad endings! Like the one about the crystal cave or whatever.
But again, well written. *applauds*
Lol. I like the part where you say "Oh Crap. Alarms stated to go off..." lol It is like a tone shift.
