As you may or may not know, I am one of the narrators for the high school play, Chill With Will. If you plan to come see it, cool. Anyway, tonight was my first ever performance in a play and I messed up...multiple times...badly. Sure I can remember my lines, but when I make a mistake or someone else makes a mistake, I nearly burst out laughing hysterically.
To start with, I accidentally smacked Lacey, my co-host, in the face. Whoops. A few scenes later I had to give an introduction to a scene and Lacey was supposed to stay backstage, but she came out and I laughed. In front of the audience. Then came my scene where I play Kate the Shrew and Mac plays Percuchio. If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, I'm sorry. You'll have to look it up 'cause I have to go soon. Anyway, I had to look angry but I practically smiled the whole time (I guess I smile when I'm nervous) and I burst out laughing. You see, I had to pretend like I was going to slap Mac but he was supposed to catch my hand. Well, he didn't, so I slapped thin air and once again I burst out laughing.
Near the end of the play we require a bit of audience participation, but no one wanted to participate. This made us have to improvise and it just was not that good. Netsirk, if you come, you had better participate, even though it's kinda weird for us small-town folks. Anyhow, I managed to make a complete fool of myself. Ah, good times. It's past 10 pm so I have to go to bed. Bye.

:( That must be so difficult! I'd totally laugh too. Either that or cry of stage fright.
I'll be seeing you tomorrow tho! :) Break a leg! Figuratively speaking, of course.
Participate? oh dear
